The Purpose of This Visa Application
The Intra-Company Employee visa allows you to live in the UK working in the UK branch of your current employment. There are 2 application methods that can be followed in this visa type; These are the intra-company transfer option and the intra-company graduate trainee option. The qualifications of the job you will do in both options, your qualifications, your salary and duration of stay are determined when applying for the visa, and presented for evaluation during the application process.
Intra-Company Visa
If you work in a company that has a branch in the UK, you can use the intra-company visa to live in the UK to work at that branch. How long you can stay in the UK with an internal visa depends on which visa option you apply for and for how long your employer sponsored you.
According to the information on the official website of the UK government, the finalization of this visa can take between 3 to 8 weeks. However, of course, this period may be elongated if the reassessment/compliance/reliability of the documents is put into question.

Certficiate of Sponsorship (CoS)
The company that will sponsor you must be licensed in accordance with the relevant visa option in order to provide the necessary document (CoS) for your visa application. So; The UK branch of the company you are currently working with must have an “internal visa sponsor license” and must request a “sponsorship document” on your behalf, stating that they want to employ you in the UK with this license. This document is one of the three basic conditions of the Intra-company Visa application.
When applying for this sponsorship document, your company may have to prove that you worked for this company before in the UK during the evaluation phase. This need may occur depending on the visa type you apply for and your salary scale. You can contact us for detailed information.
Eligible Occupations List
Your job must be on the “Eligible Occupations” list. You should choose the code of your profession based on the this list (or the profession code that is close to your profession), and use this code at the stage of sponsorship certificate application. The officer who will assess your visa will check that you have the skills, qualifications and experience required to do the job as described. Intra-company visa applications cannot be requested for professions not included in the list. You can reach the list via the link below.

Length of Stay-Extension

However, you can apply for a permanent residence in the UK at the end of your 5 years by switching from the Intra-company visa to another type of visa, eg Skilled Worker. You can contact us for detailed information.
Visa Update Right
When your occupation code changes (but your employer remains the same), you are expected to update your visa. There is a separate application area for visa update.
If you have the Intra-company Graduate Intern visa and your job changes as part of your training program, you do not need to update your visa. Your employer is responsible for informing the Home Office about the issue.

In addition to the profession code and job specified in the sponsorship certificate, you can work in extra jobs in the following situations. If you meet all the criteria below, you do not need to notify Home Office separately.
- If you will work in a job on the rare list of occupations or in a job with the same occupation code as your current job;
- If you will work in your additional job for a maximum of 20 hours per week;
- If your additional work does not interefere with the working hours of your main job.
Your family can live with you in the UK
Your spouse, unmarried partner, your same-sex partner and / or your children under the age of 18 can apply for “dependant visa” and join you to live in the UK for the duration of your visa.
Costs
There are 3 different main issues that you need to consider in terms of finance:
- The amount to be paid to the British Government as a Visa Application Fee
The application base cost ranges from £482 to £1408, depending on whether the application is lodged within the UK or outside the UK, and also for how long the application is submitted. (Short-term visa holders cannot apply for this visa from within the UK.)
There is a £55 discount for applicants from certain nationalities. Turkey is also among these countries. So, you can calculate by deducting £55 from the prices above.
- Additional fee to be paid to the British Government for health services
This fee is determined as £624 for each year of stay. For example, if you are applying for a 3-year visa, you must pay 624 x 3 = £1872 for health care. To complete your Skilled Worker visa application, you must complete the healthcare payment stage.
- The third and the final issue is the amount you must declare in your bank account to show that you can support yourself in the UK.
This amount is a minimum of 1270 GBP. If your family members are also included in the application, in addition to GBP 1270; £ 285 for your spouse / partner, £ 315 for your first child and £ 200 for each additional child must be present in the bank.
