Are you a professional in film, TV, animation, post-production or visual effects?Is your work recognised on international platforms?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If so, you can give your career in the United Kingdom a brand new direction with the Global Talent visa!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Note:<\/strong>In this field, applications can be made only under the Exceptional Talent<\/strong> category.Exceptional Promise<\/strong> applications are not accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Application Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main requirements you need to meet to apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705 Be over 18 years of age,\u2705 Have at least 5 years of professional experience in film, TV or visual media,\u2705 Meet the international award and recognition criteria set by Pact,\u2705 Have no barriers under the Immigration Rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your application is assessed by Pact<\/strong> against the following main achievement criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Oscar (Academy Award)<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • BAFTA<\/strong> (Film, Television, Television Craft, Cymru, Scotland, Games categories),<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Golden Globe<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Emmy<\/strong>You must have won one of these awards, been nominated for one of these awards, or contributed directly to winning one of these awards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    \u2705 Achievements through Notable Industry Recognition Awards:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Under the Notable Industry Recognition Awards<\/strong> on the official list, you must have:\n\n\n
        \n
      • Won awards with two different productions,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Or won one award and been nominated for another,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Or been nominated for three awards in the last 6 years,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Or contributed directly to three different productions in the last 3 years that won or were nominated for an award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        (For film productions, the productions must have been shown in cinemas<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \ud83c\udfac In summary:<\/strong>Pact carries out its assessment by looking at whether applicants have won globally influential awards, their international distribution and media recognition and, in particular, their success in industry awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Documents Required for the Application<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        The documents you need to submit to support your application:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \ud83d\udcc4 Professional CV<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Should detail all your projects and work experience with their years,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Should clearly reflect your career in film, TV, animation, post-production or VFX.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          \ud83d\udce9 3 Letters of Recommendation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Two letters: should be obtained from recognised, leading film\/TV organisations in the sector (at least one should be UK-based).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • One letter: should be written by an expert individual or organisation in the field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            \ud83d\udcc2 Supporting Evidence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • Documents for international awards won or nominated for,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • International sales contracts, distribution agreements, box office records,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Evidence of achievement such as proof of screenings at prestigious festivals or media interviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              Application Process and Timing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              \ud83d\udccc Applications are open all year round.\ud83d\udccc The Pact assessment process usually takes 6\u20138 weeks<\/strong>.\ud83d\udccc After approval, the visa application must be made within 3 months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              How Long Is the Visa Granted For?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              \ud83d\udcc5 A visa of between 1 and 5 years can be requested.\ud83d\udcc5 The health surcharge payable may vary depending on the length applied for.\ud83d\udcc5 There is no requirement to prove English language ability or bank funds!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
