Under this visa, <strong>the British Fashion Council (BFC)<\/strong> assesses and endorses applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Can Apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Are you a leading or promising designer in the fashion sector?<\/strong> If you have international recognition in fashion, or the potential to become a leader in the sector, <strong>you can apply for the Global Talent visa.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The BFC supports individuals <strong>who have a design-led leadership role in the fashion industry<\/strong>. There is no cap on applications for the visa, and applications are assessed on a continuous basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants must fall into one of the <strong>Exceptional Talent<\/strong> or <strong>Exceptional Promise<\/strong> categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements for the Application<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To apply for the Global Talent visa, you must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 <strong>Be aged 18 or over<\/strong><br\/>\u2705 <strong>Make an application endorsed by the British Fashion Council (BFC), or hold a prize included in the Prestigious Prizes list<\/strong><br\/>\u2705 <strong>Not fall for refusal under any of the grounds in the Immigration Rules<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the requirements may vary depending on the applicant\u2019s circumstances, it may be helpful to obtain professional advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">British Fashion Council (BFC) Endorsement Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be endorsed by the BFC, the applicant must <strong>be active in the fashion sector<\/strong> and must <strong>have worked professionally in the fashion design sector within the last 5 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 <strong>For Exceptional Talent applications<\/strong>: the applicant\u2019s fashion designs must have been sold, exhibited or recognised internationally, and the applicant must <strong>have a strong track record in at least 2 different countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 <strong>For Exceptional Promise applications<\/strong>: the applicant must have an emerging career history in fashion design and <strong>be recognised in at least 1 country<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Documents Required for the Application<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following documents must be submitted for the BFC endorsement process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udce9 <strong>3 Letters of Recommendation<\/strong>: these must be obtained from nationally or internationally recognised fashion organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcc2 <strong>10 Pieces of Evidence<\/strong>: documents proving the applicant\u2019s international achievements, awards, catwalk show participation, sales and media recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcc4 <strong>Professional CV<\/strong>: a CV detailing the fashion designer\u2019s career history, achievements and connections with the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Evidence Required for the Exceptional Talent Category<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The applicant must meet <strong>at least two<\/strong> of the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udfc6 <strong>Awards &amp; Nominations<\/strong>: being nominated for or winning international fashion awards, or making a significant contribution to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcf0 <strong>Media Recognition<\/strong>: being recognised by independent fashion critics or publications in at least <strong>2 countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc60 <strong>Catwalk Shows &amp; Exhibitions<\/strong>: <strong>taking part in at least 2 internationally recognised catwalk shows, exhibitions or presentations in the fashion world.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udecd\ufe0f <strong>International Sales<\/strong>: <strong>offering designs for sale through luxury retailers, the applicant\u2019s own store or an e-commerce platform.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Evidence Required for the Exceptional Promise Category<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The applicant must meet <strong>at least two<\/strong> of the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcf0 <strong>Media Recognition<\/strong>: <strong>having national or international media recognition, with at least 2 different examples.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udf97\ufe0f <strong>Support &amp;
