Latest Updates in Covid-19 Travel Rules

The updates regarding your entry to the UK are as follows.

Covid-19 tests are required for entries from February 15.

Under the new laws, all people over the age of 11 are required to have one test within 3 days of entering the UK and two Covid-19 tests on days 2 and 8 of the subsequent quarantine periods. (The day you arrive will be day 0.) People who do not take the tests may face a fine of £2000.

The result reports of the test to be taken in Turkey must be in English, French or Spanish. You will need to present your test result when checking in for your flight. You may also be asked to show this report after your journey. It is clearly stated on the gov.uk website that passengers who do not show their test results will be fined £500.

Each passenger must book a Travel Test Package for testing after arrival in the UK. This package costs £210 per person. Travel Form

You must enter your travel and contact details on the Passenger Locator Form 48 hours before arriving in the UK. When you arrive at the UK borders, you will be expected to show the completed form. After completing the form, you will receive a QR code via email. You can print this document or show it through your phone as proof of completion of the form.

What to submit on the travel form:
Your passport ID details
Your flight information including date and time
The address where you will stay in the UK
Booking reference numbers of the 2 Covid-19 tests you need to take after arriving in the UK

Test to Release reservation reference number and name of test provider (A paid Covid-19 Testing application that will only be required if you wish to end your quarantine on day 5*) If you have a chance to provide us with your flight and accommodation information before your UK trip, we will be happy to fill out your travel form for you. However, in order to complete this form, we would like to remind you that you need to purchase the Covid-19 test kits that will be applied on the 2nd and 8th days of your quarantine and that will be sent to your address.

10-Day Quarantine after Arrival

When you arrive in the UK, you must go directly to your accommodation address and not leave there for 10 days. Please note that the day of your arrival will be considered as the 0th (zero) day. The quarantine period starts on the day you arrive in the UK and ends 10 days after your arrival. It has been stated that this period is necessary since it can take up to 10 days for the symptoms of coronavirus to appear. You can end the isolation only after you are tested negative on the 8th day and complete the 10-day quarantine period by staying at your address.

You will be expected to quarantine at the address you specify on the passenger form which can be tracked by the British Government. You can quarantine in your own home, with friends/family, and in hotels.

Abu Dhabi and Amman Decisions

Restrictions When Returning to Turkey

Travel restrictions, including direct flights from the United Kingdom, are still in effect. Passengers arriving in Turkey from the United Kingdom and Denmark have been temporarily suspended. However, the ticketing options on the official website of Turkish Airlines indicate that direct flights will be opened as of March 1, 2021.

In addition, according to the statement made by the TR Ministry of Health, all persons aged 6 years and older who have been to the United Kingdom, Denmark and Brazil in the last 10 days and will travel to Turkey, must have a negative Covid-19 PCR test result a maximum of 72 hours before their boarding time. It has been stated that those who do not submit a negative PCR test result will not be allowed to board on their way to Turkey.

Those who return to our country from the United Kingdom and Denmark will be quarantined for 14 days at the address they specify (in their own homes if they wish). On the 10th day of the quarantine, the quarantine of those whose PCR test is negative will end, and the quarantine of those who do not have the test will be completed in 14 days.
