The Purpose of This Visa Application

The Domestic Worker visa allows you to travel to the UK with your employer and to stay and work there up to 6 months. You are expected to prove that you have worked for your employer for at least 1 year to be able to come to the UK with your employer.

Domestic Worker Visa

This visa can be defined as a visitor visa for domestic workers. You, therefore, must show that you do not intend to stay in the UK more than 6 months. Current rules also prevent domestic workers from living in the UK through frequent and regular visits.

Domestic workers are people providing personal care services to their employers or employers’ family members. The jobs suiting this category can be exemplified as drivers, caretakers, nannies, cooks, cleaners, gardeners etc.

Based on the information on the official website of the UK government, the Domestic Worker Visa process takes approximately 3 weeks to be finalized. However, of course, this period may be elongated if the reassessment/compliance/reliability of the documents is put into question.
